Multivan/California T7 [2022 - ]

In 2022, the Volkswagen Multivan/California was launched, representing a conceptual shift in the history of the Transporter. It replaced the previous T6.1 and moved away from the traditional architecture of commercial Transporter vans to adopt the Volkswagen Group’s modular MQB platform.

Its concept is closer to that of a large-capacity premium MPV than a conventional van, while retaining the characteristic modularity of the family.

In terms of powertrains, the Multivan T7 also represents a significant change by introducing, among other options, a plug-in hybrid eHybrid version featuring a 1.4 TSI engine producing 150 hp, along with petrol engines (1.5 TSI producing 136 hp and 2.0 TSI producing 204 hp) and a 2.0 TDI diesel engine producing 150 hp.

Therefore, the T7 represents a redefinition of the Multivan concept, positioning it as a more technologically advanced, comfortable, and versatile passenger vehicle.
