Amarok [2010 - 2022]
The first generation of the Volkswagen Amarok (code 2H) arrived in Spain at the end of 2010. In the European market it was mainly sold as a Double Cab; the Single Cab was available in some markets but had a very limited presence in Europe. The initial engines were the 2.0 TDI diesel producing 122 hp and the 2.0 BiTDI with 163 hp, later expanded to 140 hp and 180 hp. It featured the 4MOTION system (selectable or permanent depending on the version).
In 2016 it received a restyling focused on the exterior (new grille, headlights with LED daytime running lights and revised bumpers) and on the interior. It completely replaced the 2.0 engines with the 3.0 V6 TDI diesel, available with 163, 204 and 224 hp (later up to 258 hp with overboost), meeting the Euro 6 emissions standard. The 4MOTION system was only available with permanent four-wheel drive featuring a Torsen-type centre differential. This generation remained on the European market until approximately 2020.
