The TEIN STREET ADVANCE Z4 shock absorbers are high-performance OE-format units designed to provide an approximate ride height increase of 25 mm. Threaded adjustment, twin-tube technology, H.B.S., and 16 damping levels.
Note:
When performing the final tightening, it is very important to apply the tightening torque specified in the assembly manual, as overtightening can damage the shock absorber. The rear springs are left-handed and right-handed; ensure they are installed correctly.

The TEIN STREET ADVANCE Z4 shock absorbers feature a threaded ride height adjustment system at the lower spring seat, which allows precise raising or lowering of the vehicle height while maintaining proper suspension stroke to ensure stability and correct alignment in strut-type setups.
They incorporate twin-tube technology, hydraulic bump stops (H.B.S.), and 16-level damping force adjustment, enabling simultaneous regulation of both compression and rebound damping. The H.B.S. mechanism converts energy generated during extreme impacts into heat, reducing forces that could negatively affect vehicle behavior and protecting the dampers from damage caused by full compression events.
The sealed and reinforced cylinder structure, combined with increased oil capacity, provides durability and long-term stable damping performance. The shock absorbers are equipped with no-sag springs, which maintain ride height and performance even under full load conditions, and a high-durability dust boot that protects the piston rod from damage and prevents dirt ingress.
Corrosion protection is ensured through TEIN green powder coating and a special ZTP Coating treatment, which enhances resistance to stone chipping and improves anti-corrosion performance, making them suitable for safe use in coastal regions or areas with heavy snow.
In addition, STREET ADVANCE Z4 shock absorbers are compatible with the vehicle’s original top mounts and can optionally be used with EDFC electronic damping force control systems.
